Clos Apalta 位於智利 Colchagua Valley 的 Apalta 山谷,由法國 Marnier Lapostolle 家族與智利 Rabat 家族於 1994 年創立。酒莊結合法國釀酒技術與當地獨特的馬蹄形山谷風土,擁有百年 Carmenère 老藤。代表作是以 Carmenère 為主導的波爾多式混釀,並由著名飛行釀酒師 Michel Rolland 擔任顧問。Clos Apalta 曾多次獲得國際酒評家 100分評價,被視為智利頂級紅酒之一。

Le Petit Clos 是 Clos Apalta 的副牌酒,呈現 Apalta 山谷另一種詮釋。相比主牌 Clos Apalta,Le Petit Clos 的結構較柔和,果香更突出,更易入口,適合日常享用。年輕時已經美味,同時亦有一定的陳年潛力。

Clos Apalta is located in the Apalta Valley of Chile’s Colchagua region. Founded in 1994 by the French Marnier Lapostolle family together with Chile’s Rabat family, the estate combines French winemaking expertise with the unique horseshoe-shaped terroir of Apalta and its century-old Carmenère vines. Its flagship wine is a Bordeaux-style blend led by Carmenère, crafted under the guidance of renowned flying winemaker Michel Rolland. Clos Apalta has received multiple 100-point ratings from international critics and is regarded as one of Chile’s finest wines.

Le Petit Clos is the second wine of Clos Apalta, offering another interpretation of the Apalta Valley. Compared to the flagship, Le Petit Clos shows a softer structure with more pronounced fruit character, making it approachable and ideal for everyday enjoyment. It is delicious even in its youth, while still retaining good aging potential.

Vinification:

Fermentation in 75hL French oak vats, followed by malolactic fermentation. Matured for 6 months in new French oak barrels. Then aged for another 16 months — 21% in new barrels and 79% in second-use barrels.

The 2018 Le Petit Clos, a second wine first released in 2014, comes from organically and biodynamically certified vineyards, even if the bottle doesn’t carry the seals.  It's ripe and powerful with the Apalta signature, earthy and stony. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak vats and matured in French barriques for some 22 months. It's full-bodied with a lush texture and round tannins, a softer version of the 2016.

A medium-bodied red with blackberry, red-berry and spice aromas and flavors. It’s chewy and polished with a medium finish. Dried flowers to the fruit at the finish. Drink in 2022 and onwards.
