Dom Pérignon is the flagship Champagne of Moët & Chandon, named after the “Father of Champagne.” The house releases only in outstanding vintages, each expressing the terroir of its year. Every vintage matures for at least eight years in the cellar, developing complexity and fullness.
Marked by the sharp contrast of early frost and a scorching summer, 2017 vintage saw significantly reduced yields, resulting in grapes of remarkable concentration. This vintage produced the ripest Chardonnay since 2000, complemented by rigorously sorted, pristine Pinot Noir. Rich, ripe fruit seamlessly intertwines with vibrant acidity, showcasing impeccable tension and balance.

Of the two releases—the 2017 and the 2018—the 2017 Dom Pérignon is the deeper and more structurally endowed wine…with a complex bouquet of orange peel, dried apricot and burnt buttered toast, mingling with dried flowers, hazelnut and cacao bean…on the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with a rich core of fruit…animated by a pillowy mousse, vibrant acidity and structuring phenolics on a long finish…a blend of 61% Chardonnay and 39% Pinot Noir, disgorged in March 2024 with five grams dosage, offering considerable complexity and generosity out of the gates.
