Aberlour Whisky was founded by James FLeming in 1879, which was born in the village of Aberlour. All the single malts are made with the best local ingredients of barley and pure spring water from nearby mountain, Ben Rinnes. Moreover, generations of craftsmen make it one of the most popular Scotch single malt brands in the world.
In the 2022 International Whiskey Competition (IWC), Aberlour's distiller, Graeme Cruickshank, won the Master Distiller of the Year award.
A’bunadh means ‘the original’ in Gaelic, in homage to Aberlour’s founder, James Fleming. They handpick the Spanish Oloroso sherry butts, filling them with whisky for the first time. This means their intense flavours infuse A’bunadh as the years pass. The whisky is bottled at cask strength resulting in a robust and deeply intense, sherried whisky.
