Château La Violette is located on the Pomerol plateau, nestled between Le Pin and Trotanoy. The vineyard covers just 1.6 hectares, with 0.3 hectares currently not in production. Established in the late 19th century by cooper Ulysse Belivier, the estate earned early recognition but gradually fell into obscurity from the 1960s onward. The 2003 vintage reflects this more traditional era, crafted primarily from Merlot in very limited quantities.
In 2005, the property was acquired by Catherine Péré‑Vergé, and from then on became renowned as a “garage wine,” celebrated for its rarity and artisanal style.
