Alta Alella is a family winery that established in 1991. Josep Maria and his wife Cristina have spent their lives sharing the wine and cava culture. They set up the winery in the midst of the Serralade de Marina Natural Park, where just a few miles away from Barcelona. Their respect for the land shown by the practice of certified organic farming and using local varieties such as Xarel.lo.
Cava is an elemental piece of the spirit of Alta Alella, the winery treats them with the greatest care. The grapes are organically farmed, the selection by hand of the finest grapes, while Traditional Method is used and the Gran Reserva cavas are bottle aged for at least 30 months. The passion has been rewarded by many international prizes.

The nose shows some seriousness, hints of hay and straw intermixed with yeasts and bread dough. The palate also reveals some austerity, with fresh acidity and an effervescent mouthfeel. 5,000 bottles produced.
